2017 Community and Student Engagement Evaluation

House Bill (HB) 2804 as part of the 84th Texas Legislature (2015) required all campuses and districts to be rated in eight categories (Fine Arts, Wellness & Physical Education, Community & Parental Involvement, 21st Century Workforce, 2nd Language Acquisition, Digital Learning Environment, Dropout Prevention, and Gifted & Talented Programs).  Each category should be rated using four different standards:  Unacceptable (U), Acceptable, (A), Recognized (R), or Exemplary (E).  Furthermore, all campuses and districts must also select three of the eight components listed above and assign a letter grade (A, B, C, D, or F) to use within the State Accountability System.

Pearsall ISD and its campuses utilize surveys that are made available to its staff, parents and community in an effort to provide feedback to the District and to determine the campus and district ratings.  The survey questions used by each campus can be viewed in the documents below.

The survey questions are scored using Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neutral, Agree, and Strongly Agree.  An average score is calculated for each of the eight measures.  The equivalencies for the ratings and scores are outlined in the table below.
