Dear Ted Flores Elementary Staff and Families,
It is with great enthusiasm that I announce the appointment of Mr. John Smith as the new Interim Principal of Ted Flores Elementary School. Mr. Smith will officially begin serving the Ted Flores community on February 26.
Mr. Smith brings more than 30 years of experience in education, including over 15 years as a campus principal in both North East ISD and Kenedy ISD. Throughout his career, he has established himself as a proven instructional leader who strengthens teaching and learning across grade spans while maintaining a clear focus on student achievement.
He is known for building trust-based partnerships with staff, students, and families that lead to measurable gains in outcomes for all learners. Mr. Smith cultivates positive, inclusive school cultures where students feel valued, educators feel supported, and high expectations are paired with meaningful support systems.
As we welcome him to Pearsall ISD and to Ted Flores Elementary, I am confident his leadership will continue to elevate instructional practice and reinforce the strong foundation already in place on campus.
