VIII. ACTION ITEMS
A. Policy changes: DC (LOCAL);CH (LOCAL); CHB (LOCAL)
DC(LOCAL): The Board delegates to the Superintendent the authority to employ teachers, librarians, and school counselors. The Superintendent shall inform the Board of any person hired under this authority.
CFB(LOCAL): The capitalization threshold for purposes of classifying individual capital assets shall be $10,000.
CH(LOCAL):The Board delegates to the Superintendent the authority to make budgeted purchases for goods or services. However, any single, budgeted purchase of goods or services that costs $50,000 or more, regardless of whether the goods or services are competitively purchased, shall require Board approval before a transaction may take place.
B. FIRST Presentation and Hearing

Texas's school financial accountability rating system, known as the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), ensure that Texas public schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices and that they improve these practices. Within two months of the release of it's final FIRST rating, the district must announce and hold a public meeting to distribute a financial management report that explains the school system's rating and it's performance.
IX. CLOSED SESSION
The Pearsall ISD Board of Trustees will convene in closed meeting as authorized by Section 551.001 et seq. of the Texas Government Code (Open Meetings Act), under the following Provision(s): 551.074
A. Pursuant to Texas Government Code §551.074, discuss and consider the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee or to hear complaints or charges against a public officer or employee
